Fresh Fortnite patch notes have now arrived to detail all the changes for the v19.40 update, and there’s significantly more to report here than with the previous hotfix. If you’re a Spider-Fan then this is going to be a great week for you, with a much greater availability of Web-Shooters and a new set of themed quests to take on with them. If you spend time tinkering around in replay mode then a very helpful setting has been added to improve your Fortnite scene-setting, plus there’s an additional tweak to Impostors mode for those who like to speak their mind. If you’re ready to find out all the details around these latest changes then here’s everything you need to know from the Fortnite patch notes.

(Image credit: Epic Games)The first big change introduced with the Fortnite patch notes v19.40 is the arrival of Amazing Web Week, centered around everyone’s favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Not only will you now find Fortnite Spider-Man’s Web Shooters in Chests on top of their standard backpack locations, but the Bouncers launch pads have also been unvaulted and placed in ground loot pools plus Supply Drops. To tie in with this, a limited-time set of Spider-Man Week Quests will be available:
Swing 10 times with Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters before landing (1)Travel 25 meters with Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters in different neighbourhoods (3)Deal damage while airborne from a Bouncer (350)Launch off of a Bouncer with a Fortnite Quadcrasher and land tricks (150,000)
(Image credit: Epic Games)If you’re hitting up the Voice specific version of Imposters mode, then the Fortnite patch notes have added proximity voice chat to the Imposters (Voice) playlist meaning you’ll only hear the other players who are around you, whether they’re Agents or Impostors. Although eliminated players can no longer chat to those still active in the round, they can continue listening in to keep up with developments as the accusations fly.
(Image credit: Epic Games)If you use replay mode to set up screenshots then the Fortnite patch notes have a handy new option, allowing you to adjust the time of day in any Battle Royale or Creative Islands replay where it hasn’t already been set by the Island’s creator. To access this option, toggle through the control views until you can interact with the buttons, then select the camera marked with a cog and tab over to the clock option – the slider sets the time of day, and you can also choose to pause it for the remainder of the replay.
